Te Whāriki, the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum guides and inspires our work

Our Approach

Our teaching philosophy is inspired by both the Reggio Emilia approach and RIE (Resources for Infant Educarers), placing respectful relationships, curiosity, and each child’s unique interests at the heart of learning.

Our teachers take time to observe, listen, and understand what captures each child’s curiosity. We then thoughtfully create meaningful experiences, activities, and environments that build on these interests—encouraging children to explore, discover, create, and develop their own ideas.

Through this child-led approach, we support children to become confident, capable, and engaged learners, while respecting their individual pace, voice, and way of experiencing the world.

A wide variety of activities on offer

We believe children learn best through play, exploration and discovery. Guided by Te Whāriki, New Zealand’s Early Childhood Curriculum, we offer a rich variety of engaging activities and experiences that nurture each child’s social, physical, intellectual and cultural development.

Our children enjoy a safe, warm and nurturing environment where familiar routines help them feel comfortable and secure. Alongside these routines, we provide a wide range of exciting activities and new experiences that spark curiosity, encourage creativity and help children discover new interests and develop essential skills.

Through individual exploration, group activities and meaningful interactions, children build friendships, develop confidence, learn to work together and grow in their understanding of respect, responsibility and positive relationships.
